8 SimCity BuildIt : Tips
1. Use your Sim Cash wisely
- Don't use them to speed things up, its an utter waste of the precious resource.
- Use them to increase your commercial buildings make item spots, I recommend to make sure that each of your shops have at least 3 slots.
- If you are desperate you can also use your Sim Cash for buying items that wl help you to increase city storage and expand your city
- Just don't waste them on factory time speed-ups
2. Save all the items you get from popping thought bubbles up
- Keep on collecting them until you unlock the city storage.
- Upgrade the city storage to store upto 100 items
- Don't bother to upgrade the city storage any further for a long time
- You will not fill up the storage for a long time
- Sell any other items which helps to upgrade the city storage for max price at the trade depot
- Easy way to make simoleons
3. Build a few houses concentrated on a single area first.
- Keep on upgrading them till you max them out.
- This will give you lots of cash to invest
- Now build fire stations, health centers etc... in a way that they cover all the houses you built, which should be easy since you concentrated them on a single area.
- This helps you easily manage the buildings
4. Visit the Global Trade HQ frequently
- Short on materials?
- Visit the Global Trade HQ
- Most of the time you will find the materials you need, that too at a good price.
- I buy all the vegetables my city need from there :)
- Just be sure to hurry or the item will be sold
5. Never build the small fire station/police station or health clinic
- These thing are not at all value for money
- They cover a very small area and you will end up spending lots of cash and buying lots of them if you decide to use them
- If your short on cash, just be patient and save enough to buy their medium sized/large sized versions
- Place them strategically so that they cover the most amount of homes
6. Place shops, services buildings and specialization buildings inside the dirty radius of your factories
- This helps to create a divider between residential and industrial areas
- Also this helps to manage space and helps you to place less homes near those dirty areas
- This boosts happiness and increases tax rates.
7. Always make sure that your shops and factories are working
- Never leave them idle
- Make them craft items which take a less time to craft while you are playing and make them craft items which take longer to craft while your not playing the game
- Make sure that you always have materials in your hands
8. Be social and get a lot of neighbours
- Join one of the SimCity groups or circles in G+ or Facebook
- This will allow you to trade more and strike it rich
- You will get the materials you need faster and as an added bonus if you make a lot of friends you can get free Sim Cash from the mayor's mansion
- It's a win-win situation for both you and them
