8 Awesome Android Tips and Tricks

Hello guys, today in this article is 8 awesome android tips and tricks which you will find very helpful. Some of these require a rooted device to work. If your device is not rooted you can download Root all devices app which will tell you the easiest method to root your device. Personally I recommend you to root your device If it's warranty is over as it has many benefits like below. 1. Hide Your Apps (Root Required)

• Download Hide App-Hide Application Icon app from play store
• Open the app, set your security pin, choose the apps you want to hide
• Enjoy
• Extra :- Change the app's name from the app's menu to make the app's purpose less obvious.

2. Make your old phone look new, look like lollipop.

• Download latest Nova Launcher.
• Set it as default launcher
• Theme your device like lollipop in nova settings
• Enjoy
• Extra (Root Required) :- Want material design status bar and keyboard, download Xposed Installer, install Xposed Framework and download Flat Style Colored Bars, Flat Style Colored Keyboard and Flat Style Bar Indicators apps from play store. Enable them in xposed, reboot and enjoy.

3. Overclock/Underclock your phone according to your needs (Root Required)

• Set your min. and max. CPU frequency, I/O scheduler and governer
• Enjoy
• Extra :- Want full control over your phone, download ROM Toolbox Lite for complete control over most aspects of your device.

4. No Space on your Int. SD, Can't install new apps? (Root Required)

• Download Link2SD and GL to SD apps.
• Create a second partition (ext4) on your ext. SD card with the help of AParted or any other partitioning tool.
• Move your apps apk, internal data,  dex files etc.. to your ext. SD with the help of Link2SD.
• Move your apps ext. data and obb files to your ext. SD with the help of GL to SD
• Enjoy, install as many apps as you want now.
• Note :-  Apps on which you have used Link2SD cannot be moved by GL2SD and vice versa, use only one of the apps on one application. 
• Extra :- If you use only GL to SD there is no need to partition your SD card, it does not use the second partition.. If you purchase Link2SD+ you can do all the functions of GL to SD in Link2SD itself.

5. Fool google think you are using some other phone (Root Required)

• Download the app Device Faker - [Xposed]
• Download Xposed Installer, install Xposed Framework
• Enable Device Faker Module in Xposed
• Reboot
• Open the app and select which device you want your device to become
• Do a soft reboot/reboot
• Enjoy, this is useful for downloading apps that are incompatible with your device from play store.
• Note :- Although this app has been tested on several devices, there are always chances that something can go wrong. Be sure that you have a backup of your ROM before trying this app.
• Extra :- If you are an advanced user you can just edit the build.prop of your device to spoof it, just be sure to make a backup.

6. System not booting up, Stuck in boot loop? (Root Required)

• A boot loop can happen due to many reasons, maybe you tampered with your device a bit too much?
• Most of the time this boot loop can be fixed by simple methods without resetting your phone, here I will discuss two such ways
• Have you tampered with you / or /system directories too much, moved some new file to there and after that your phone is not booting?
• You may have forgot  to change their permissions back to rw-r-r
• Have no fear, boot into your custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) and select the fix permissions option. Your phone should boot up now (be sure to mount system directory in recovery before fixing permission's), if this doesn't work if you are using TWRP recovery you can open the TWRP file manager and edit the permissions of the file you moved by the chmod command, just select chmod command and enter the values 644, enjoy.
• The second option is that if you are using a custom ROM, you can just flash over the ROMS zip file in your recovery, just clear your dalvik cache, cache and battery stats and flash the zip over your existing ROM. This has a 80% chance of solving your problem.
