• Don't use them to speed things up, its an utter waste of the precious resource.
• Use them to increase your commercial buildings make item spots, I recommend to make sure that each of your shops have at least 3 slots.
• If you are desperate you can also use your Sim Cash for buying items that wl help you to increase city storage and expand your city
• Just don't waste them on factory time speed-ups

2. Save all the items you get from popping thought bubbles up

• Keep on collecting them until you unlock the city storage.
• Upgrade the city storage to store upto 100 items
• Don't bother to upgrade the city storage any further for a long time
• You will not fill up the storage for a long time
• Sell any other items which helps to upgrade the city storage for max price at the trade depot
• Easy way to make simoleons
• Never sell the items which help to expand your city
